The Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the National Center for Waste Management, organized a specialized workshop focused on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the cleaning contractors’ system. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to review existing operational frameworks, identify improvement areas, and explore practical approaches to modernizing service delivery in line with national sustainability goals.

Transitioning to performance-based contracts and optimizing resource utilization will elevate service standards, enhance accountability, and deliver measurable environmental and economic impact.

During the session, discussions centered on updating the Council’s strategic plan to support the transition toward a circular economy, promote localization of the value chain, and enable the shift to performance-based contracts. These initiatives aim to strengthen accountability, optimize resource utilization, and ensure long-term environmental and economic benefits, reinforcing the Authority’s commitment to building a more sustainable and resilient waste management ecosystem.
